Sitting and eating--what a new concept!
Students are loving the simple pleasure of sitting and eating together as a group (like family) as well as colorful placemats to add to the appeal.
It still amazes me how today's families eating on the go and everyone takes care of him or her self can be so easily changed to provide powerful uplifting moments of reassurance to children and teens. My groups are delighting in the kitchen units' color-coded tools and supplies, too. They are really really enjoying their moments eating at their tables.
(not everyone liked having their photo snapped, however!)
