Foods II is offered second semester. Third quarter is spent doing meal planning and exploring hospitality-related topics and careers. Fourth quarter is spent learning about cake decorating. Students use a cake mix for a single-layer and bake from scratch for a two-layer. Single-layers get a soft classic buttercream frosting while the stacked layers get a thicker decorator icing using shortening.
